You ask some excellent questions. I, too, as a Bible believer/follower have many similar questions as to why so many have strayed from the Narrow Path. The answer I have found to all of them is “corruption”, for many people are easily swayed, tricked, fooled, and if they are weak, hedonistic, self-serving and succumb to their sins, they become corrupted. Who is doing the corruption? We both know who is at the root of evil corruption. None of us stand a chance against the great deceiver, and without the Holy Spirit we would be defenseless. Even still, the evil has people celebrating Ishtar as Easter, celebrating Halloween, and also celebrating Christmas and all the pagan rituals around that creepy “holiday”.

As to questions, I want to know who made taking Jesus’s and God’s name in vain normalized (but they don’t touch the Holy Spirit’s name… they know better, don’t they?). Who normalized idolizing the cross (the very thing Christ was killed upon)? On the Judaism side, what’s with people wearing a black cube on their forehead l? Isn’t that the cube of Saturn? And why so many realms of Judaism: Hasidic, Ashkenazi, secular, messianic, and more? That strikes me as odd as does all the realms of Christianity.

Speaking of Christianity, it’s my understanding the term “Christian” arose organically to mean a follower of Christ (first used in Acts 11:26), but might have also been used negatively as an identifier of a follower by non-believers. Either way, it sure has been distorted and hollowed out by the modern church.

Thank you for writing this, for it gave me a sense of perspective.

Paul this was excellent. My husband and I, both gentile believers who have ALWAYS had a love for the Jewish people and Israel. For me it was my 8th grade teacher Miss Shaperio who turned me on to Judaism. I was even a Christian yet. For decades we attended several Messianic congregations in San Francisco. So I totally understand and agree with all that you are saying. I 💯get it.

I could go on and on - perhaps a post is forthcoming… we are both part of the Friends of Israel Tikvah team. We are doing our best to educate the churches on replacement theology and antisemitism within the church.

We do attend a small church in my rural area that loves Israel and isn’t afraid to say so.

Anyway, keep on keeping on Paul. The message needs to get out there - there’s been so much bad teaching and replacement theology that even good Christian’s don’t realize it.
